New Fairway Shaping

This is something I'm starting to do again. Every couple of years I re paint the shape and routing of the fairways. Ideally as time goes by the cut changes by mowers creeping in and out. Certain areas shrink and expand. This is my time to refresh things. This year I going to bring the bunkers into play by cutting the fairway and collar cut closer to the bunkers. Doing this with changing the routing presents a fresh look and some new elements to the golf round as you are playing.

Aerification

We fit in aerification in between storms the11th &12th. We a crew it was our best aerification to date. We completed all greens and all collars in a day and half.
This year we used 5/8inch x6.5inch tines at a spacing of 2.5 inches and at a operating depth of 5 3/4 inches. It was an aggressive punch because of the depth. We used around 70 tones of fresh sand to fill in all those holes..
The day after the rains came. 3 days 3.5in of rain. Combined with cool temperatures= not good growing conditions. It's a good thing I have some tricks up my sleeve to get things growing. Here are some photos of the day!
